Monitoring Workshop
- Merredin, 25-27th Sept
Spring and early summer is annual malleefowl mound monitoring time.... This will be undertaken across Australia to assess breeding populations in established survey sites. The MPG has 14 such sites in WA. Anyone interested in checking mounds at delegated sites is welcome to attend the workshop. Please ask for a program and more information on the weekend activities which will include a trip out to Buddy Kent's 'malleefowl block' at Bodallin and social activities. Own camping preferred however limited 'donga' rooms available on request.

Malleefowl Survey
- Ongerup 3-9th October
The last of the 2010 surveys will be held at two sites near Ongerup - the Tieline Reserve, North Ongerup and the Peniup Nature reserve near Boxwood Hills. Please ask for a registration form. (Registrations close Friday 24th September). A reminder to those who have not participated in a survey before, you will need:
**Good degree to fitness for all day bush walking
**Own camping and food (limited shearers quarters accommodation available)
**Minimum registration period - 6 days
